What is a USCF ID? Why do I need to purchase? What is a USCF ID? Why do I need to purchase?

If you are serious about playing chess in the US, you will need a US Chess Federation ID. The primary benefit of the membership is that you can get a player rating in the official national rating system based on your games in the rated tournaments. Once you are approved, you will be able to join the official Live tournaments held on newmillenniumchess.org! You can find the tournaments by going to newmillenniumchess.org/events.

The USCF membership needs to be renewed annually (or every other year if you enroll/renew for two years).

I haven’t received my USCF ID - who do I contact for it?

You would have to wait 24-48 hours to receive a USCF ID. Kindly wait for this long before you write to us at support@newmillenniumchess.com with the purchase date and the email you used for registration.

I’m not in the United States - do I still need a USCF ID?

Yes, because we feature only official USCF-rated Live tournaments and our system matches you with other players within the tournament based on your player rating associated with your USCF ID.
